I did not start out in tech. I grew up in Wales, where female role models in the industry were almost non-existent, and I was once told, “girls don’t really do IT.” For a long time, I believed it.

​

After struggling to find my path at university, a chance opportunity led me into the world of technology and completely changed the direction of my life.

​

Since then, I have built a career across companies like Apple, Amazon Web Services (AWS), the BBC, and Microsoft, navigating a non-linear path through technical, non-technical, and leadership roles.

​

This platform is where I share the lessons I have learned, the highs, the challenges, and the realities of building a career in tech, so that others can see what is possible for them.

Because no matter where you start, you can carve your own path and grow into something bigger than you imagined.
