Where are you originally from?

I was born and raised in Newport, South Wales. I spent five years living in Bristol, and recently moved to Vancouver, Canada.

What is your current role?

I lead Customer Success for Western Canada at Microsoft, focused on the public sector across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.

What are your strengths or superpowers?

  • Empathy: I care deeply, give honest feedback, and challenge with respect

  • Growth: I focus on the present while always thinking about what is next

  • Adaptability: I adjust quickly and stay open to change

  • Positive Energy: I try to show up in a way that lifts others

What drives you?

I want to help people push past what they think they are capable of and aim higher.

Why did you start this blog?

Writing has played a big role in how I learn and build confidence. When I was starting out, I did not have access to strong networks, resources, or role models in tech. I was discouraged from pursuing it and ended up studying something that did not feel right for me. I started this blog to share what I have learned along the way, and to be the kind of role model I did not have. If it helps even one person feel more confident navigating their career, it is worth it.

What is your work history?

I have worked across companies including Apple, Capgemini, Dyson, Amazon Web Services (AWS), the BBC, and Microsoft. My experience spans sales, security, innovation, programme management, data, and leadership roles across cloud and technology.

How did you transition between industries?

It was not a straightforward path. I faced over 50 rejections before landing a role at Amazon. What made the difference was refining my approach, being open to stepping stone roles, and continuing to build skills along the way. It taught me that persistence and adaptability matter just as much as experience.
